Mr Ogbonna Benjamin, a businessman in Asaba, who spoke to our Correspondent, said that with the long queues currently enveloping many of the banks across the globe in Asaba, headquarters of Delta State, it is a shame that Nigerians are facing the critical times in their life adding that: “I am happy with the CBN processes of ensuring that the cashless policy is implemented to the letter, should be without failure, but I am not happy that CBN did provide an enabling environment for us to embrace the new notes.
“Nigerians are suffering at the moment because the money is not in circulation. We cannot make use of the money and this makes the whole process useless. CBN’s plans to check fraudulent policies would have been doing very well, unfortunately, the funds are not available. Rather, Nigerians are suffering at the moment. People sleep at bank ATMs to withdraw money and it is always to no avail. What Kind of Nigeria is this? How can the policies work when the funds are not available?”
Mrs Olaide Toyinbo, ceric who also spoke to our Correspondent said: “You can imagine CBN where Bank ATMs only dispense Just N20,000 of the new notes. Furthermore, CBN seems not to have been ready.

We don’t want extension. All should comply. We have to support the CBN and Mr President because without this, the people who have hoarded money for elections and other purposes will still bring the money into circulation and that is what the CBN is fighting against. We are appealing to CBN to make sure this money is available in the banks, especially in their ATMs for the people to withdraw money for their uses.”
