NAF neutralizes armed bandits at Bayan Ruwa, Rugu forest

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Task Force (ATF) that were deployed for operation “DIRAN MIKIYA” said on Tuesday that it has successfully flushed out armed bandits in Bayan Ruwa, Rugu forest in Zamfara State.

A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola said the air strike was part of the ongoing campaign to neutralize bandits who are terrorising citizens in the North western part of the country.

According to him, the attack was carried out between 25 and 27 August 2018. “The attack on BAYAN RUWA was executed following an encounter with a notorious group of armed bandits by own ground forces whilst conducting clearance operations on 25 August 2018”.
