N’ West Govs task FG to tackle kidnapping

North West Governor Forum, on Thursday, called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency put an end to the problem of kidnapping in the country which has claimed the life of a Nigerian Military officer, Colonel Sama’ila Inusa. The governors made this call in Kano during their annual North West Governors Forum.
“That unless something serious is done, the problem could degenerate into another national problem posing a serious threat to the security of the great nation” the Forum noted.
The forum seized the opportunity to appreciate the support of Nigerians to the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, and urged them to continue to give them all necessary support as the present administration is working hard to improve the living condition of the people.
The governors explained that it is important to know that the forum is not a faction of the Arewa Governors Forum, that it became necessary to have such a sub forum out of the main body (Arewa) in order to be able to address problems peculiar to the zone.
The forum condole the entire people of the state over the inferno disaster which occurred at Abubakar Rimi Market where goods worth trillion was destroyed. They pledged to supports the victims of the disaster, saying that it is not possible for them to give everything but would see how they could alleviate the suffering of the victims.
