Motorcycle thief nabbed during church service in Imo

A young man who specialised in stealing motorcycles may have run out of luck when he was apprehended by security guards at Holy Family Catholic Parish, Izombe in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State stealing motorbike during church service.
The suspect, identified as Jasper from Agwa, a neighboruing community to Izombe, was arrested while attempting to steal a Mate CY 90 Yamaha motorcycle parked in the church premises during mass at Holy Family Catholic Parish Izombe on Sunday.
The Daily Times gathered on Thursday in Owerri that he ran out luck when at the exit gate, the security guards demanded the tally with which he parked the motorcycle stressing that the suspect told the security men that her sister in the church was with the tally.
According an eyewitness the suspect went inside the church and pretended to be one of the worshippers, but unknown to him that the security guards were monitoring him.
After the security men waited for some minutes and the suspect who in his early 30s failed to come out that the guards moved inside the church and dragged him out.
After a hot argument that ensued between the guards and suspect attracted some worshippers among them the owner of the motorcycle identified as Mrs. Ada Nwoke.
“It was when the owner of the motorcycle raised alarm that it was her motorcycle that the suspect wanted to steal that guards and other worshippers began to beat the criminal”.
