Mimiko receives new Police boss

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, on Tuesday, reiterated his commitment towards supporting and enhancing the work of men of the Nigeria Police in the Ssate.

Mimiko made the reassurance at his office in Akure while receiving the new female Commissioner of Police, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, who was posted to the Ondo State command of the Nigeria Police Force.

He said his administration would joined hands with the new police boss to ensure the wholesome activities of the Fulani herdsmen are brought under control in the state.

Governor Mimiko who expressed confidence in the Nigeria Police Force, said security agencies must be commended in their job of tackling criminality in the society.

Responding, Ibifuro-Harrison appreciated the governor and promised to consolidate more on the successes recorded by her predecessors in the state.

The new female police boss had earlier spoken with journalists shortly after assuming her official duties at the commands’ headquarters as the 38th Police commissioner in the state.

She revealed that part of her mission in the state is to tackle the unwholesome activities of suspected Fulani herdsmen in the state.
