LMC to announce new sponsors—Dikko

Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) Shehu Dikko has revealed that they will announce a sponsor for the league “in the coming weeks”.
The 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League have been running with only TV rights money being the sole official source of revenue for the league and Dikko disclosed they will announce one of six multi-level sponsors soon.
“We were scheduled to unveil a sponsor this week, but it has been moved and we hope to announce in the coming weeks,” he said.
“There are a few more things we need to tidy up to make the deal better and we will announce shortly afterwards.”
The league had telecommunication giants Globacom as title sponsors last season, but with the expiration of their contract, the LMC has moved to change the sponsorship format for the league from single title sponsorship to multi-level sponsors.
