Liverpool keeper Mignolet sends message to his doubters

The Belgium international has fallen behind Loris Karius in the Anfield pecking order, but he’s refusing to give up his place without a fight
Simon Mignolet has seen his position as Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper called into question on a regular basis in the last couple of years.
The Belgium international was dropped by ex-Reds boss Brendan Rodgers back in December 2014, only to make an immediate return to the fold as Brad Jones suffered an untimely injury.
Mignolet was able to retain a starting berth after Jurgen Klopp inherited the Anfield reins, but he too has decided to look elsewhere for stability between the sticks.
Summer signing Loris Karius has been favoured in Liverpool’s last four matches, forcing Mignolet to watch from the bench.
However, Mignolet’s taken to social media in an effort to warn those who continue to question his value that he will not be giving up the No.1 spot without a fight.
