Lafia stands still for Maku, as he flags off campaign

Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital on Wednesday stood still for Hon. Labaran Maku as he flagged off his governorship campaign rally. Maku, who is contesting the number one position in the state under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has been described as the front line contender with A A Sule of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ombugadu David Emmanuel, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), amongst others. Addressing the large crowd at the Lafia square, the former information minister said he was overwhelmed with the turnout of people as compared to the numbers of people who graced Atiku rally in Nasarawa state. Maku who was visibly happy with the crowd, said “the rumour making the round that Maku has no supporters, has proven to the world today that God is above us and electorates are below. “APGA has the majority supporters in the state and will win all the 13 local government areas of the state”. He also informed that if elected into office, will unite the diverse ethnic nationalities, justice for all irrespective of their religious or ethnicity. Giving explanation to his campaign slogan, “enough is enough “, Maku said the slogan is an indication to end killings, poverty, corruption and percentage end in the state. Also speaking, the presidential Candidate of the party, RTD. Gen. John Buh, called on the people of Nasarawa state to massively vote for Maku instead of wasting their votes on other candidates which is their last opportunity ever in the state.
