Lafia stands still for Buhari, as campaign train hits Nasarawa

Lafia, Nasarawa state capital on Wednesday stood still for President Muhammadu Buhari, as he took campaign rally to state for his re-election in the next week election. Mammoth crowd who gathered chanting songs of solidarity in honour of the president early 8am waited patiently till 430pm for his arrival. Buhari, who is re-contesting the presidential seat under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), has been described as the front line contender with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate. Addressing the large crowd at the Lafia square, the president thanked the people for their overwhelming support displayed, describing it as a signs of victory for APC. Maintaining that he has delivered his campaign promised on corruption, agriculture and insecurity in the country, assuring to continued the fight to move Nigeria to next level. He further assured the people of the state his commitment and would never disappoint them if given their mandate to APC. While appreciating the president for the visit, Governor Tanko Umaru Al-Makura urged the Nasarawa people have faith in the policies and program of APC and to continue giving their unflinching supports to the party by coming to vote in the forth coming election.
