Kwara PDP pledges allegiance to Makarfi-led committee

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, on Wednesday, pledged its allegiance to the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led national leadership of the party.
A leader of PDP in the state and former minister of National Planning, Dr. Abubakar Sulyman, made this known at a news conference in Ilorin, the state capital.
He pleaded with Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and his group to, in the spirit of Ramadan, show remorse and join hands with Makarfi to move the party forward.
” We, in Kwara state PDP, under the chairmanship of Prince Sunday Fagbemi, align with our teeming leaders to endorse and support the Makarfi led national caretaker committee. As a matter of fact, we condemn the act of brigandage, shenanigans and nasty behaviour being perpetrated by Sheriff and his co-travellers.
“I have no doubt, in my mind, that Senator Mohammed Makarfi and other members of the caretaker committee are not only able, capable and respected but also experienced enough to paddle the ship of the party to an enviable state, within the time frame given to it”.
Sulyman also affirmed the Prince Sunday Fagbemi-led executives as the authentic leadership of PDP in in the state.
He added” I urge other dissenting members of the PDP in Kwara State to join hands with the Fagbem-led executive to provide the desired opposition in the state”.
