The administration of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi state has been commended for demystifying bad governance and entrenching accountability, unity, peace and justice among all sections of the state.

Chief Abiodun Akerejola, Director General, “Renewed Vision for New Direction”, a campaign organisation for the APC Governorship candidate Ahmed Usman Ododo, disclosed that the massive support enjoined by the candidate is as a result of the legacy of the Yahaya Bello New Direction policies.

According to Chief Akerejola, “the mobilization of people of the state towards unity peace and tranquility has cleared the path for the general development now being enjoyed by citizens,” he said.

The Director General of the campaign group who expressed satisfaction with the level of response to the peaceful campaigns, alluded the successes to the shinning infrastructures put in place by the indefatigable Governor Bello.

” As you know, Kogi people are wiser, today. And it is because of the APC Government mobilization that has made the people of Kogi state to understand that the dark days in Kogi politics are over.

” Kogites have enjoyed peace and security under GYB and they are not willing to return to days of political thuggery promoted by some mischievous political actors.

“The Ododo/Oyibo mandate is a mandate of unity that is widely accepted by all Kogi citizens, irrespective of religion, ethnic origin or constructive ideological divide.

“You cannot compare the acceptance of the Ododo mandate to the ethnic agenda promoted by some myopic, parochial, ignorant ethnic supremacist who have nothing to offer but ride on the horse of ethnic division and deception to achieve their personal ambition”, Akerejola stated

He alleged that some politicians in the state are bent on institutionalizing tribalism as being propagated in the name of Igala agenda against the entire ethnic groups in the state.

He expressed happiness that the people of the state have rejected such heinous and crude pattern of politics as they now know better and prepared to vote for a united Kogi to achieve more progress, stability, fairness and development.

The DG however warned the electorate that a vote for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Candidate Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, is a vote for the destruction of Kogi state, ethnic jingoism and divisive ideals and capable of drawing back the progressing hands of the Kogi clock.
