Kebbi to vaccinate 2m people against yellow fever

As yellow fever vaccination continues in Kebbi State, the Executive Secretary, Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Doctor Abubakar Attahiru Kaoje has said that the 10 days vaccination exercise is expected to cover at least two million people from the implementing 13 Local Governments in the state.
The beneficiaries are from nine months to 44 years of age.
Kaoje disclosed this at a press conference in the office complex in Birnin Kebbi.
He stated that the exercise is collaboration between the state, federal government and some donor agencies like the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF.
According to him, the vaccination is once in a lifetime but pregnant women, lactating mothers are exempted.
He called on the people of the listed local governments to use the opportunity to get vaccinated because lots of monies have been expended for the success of the exercise, Kaoje concluded.
