Kebbi: Bagudu approves N2.4bn for payment of gratuities to retirees

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has approved N2.4 billion for the immediate payment of gratuities to retired civil servants at the state, local government and local government education authority, respectively.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Dutsinmari, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.

According to him, the retirees with a balance of N500,000 and below would be paid 100 per cent, while others with more than the said amount would be paid on percentage basis.

Umar-Dutsinmari added that subsequent payments would continue as soon as the financial situation of the state improves.
