Katsina State government orders reopening of all female boarding school

Katsina State government has directed the reopening of all-female boarding secondary schools across the state, from Wednesday, March 24.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Professor Badamasi Lawal, and issued by the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Sani Danjuma, the schools are to operate based on the day system.

It also added that the girls are to go to nearby schools of their locations/residence, on the date of resumption.

Similarly, the government has directed the reopening of the following boarding schools: Government Unity Secondary School, Malumfashi; Sir Usman Nagogo College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, SUNCAIS, Katsina; Government Girls  Secondary School, Dutsin Safe, Katsina; Government Girls Arabic Secondary School, Dutsinma; Government  School for the Deaf Malumfashi and Government School for the Blind Katsina, on Sunday, March 28, for the continuation of the 2020/2021 academic session.

The statement added that Covid-19 protocols should strictly be adhered to by the students, staff, and visitors.
