J-Twiz Enta-10-ment Appoints Toks Asher Young as Head of Talent and Artist Management

J-Twiz Enta-10-ment has announced the appointment of Tochukwu Umezulike better known as “Toks Asher Young” as Head of Talent Development and Artist Management, marking a new chapter in Young’s career as a talent manager.

In this role, Young will manage the career of Juju, an Amsterdam-based Nigerian artist whose music blends hip-hop, dancehall, and Nigerian contemporary sounds.

The signing was formalized in a contract with Romanus Chika, the founder and CEO of J-Twiz Enta-10-ment, also known by his stage name “Juju,” which stands for “Just Unbeatable Join Us.”

Juju’s debut album, DA KEY, produced by notable names including OJB Jezebel, Glen Gladdum, and Lexy Da Bad Guy, is anticipated to reach audiences soon.

This album, a fusion of hip-hop and dancehall, is set to be launched on May 10, 2008, in Amsterdam. The event will feature industry icons Kenny “Keke” Ogungbe and Dayo “D1” Adeneye from Prime Time Africa and Kennis Music, along with Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, who is also featured on the album.

The partnership aims to increase Juju’s visibility in both African and global music markets. Juju’s single, “Da Thing,” featuring Dutch artist Jazzlin, is already gaining traction on Nigerian radio, with the music video receiving airplay across terrestrial TV stations in Nigeria and Africa.

Juju’s unique musical style, characterized by his seamless fusion of genres, has earned him recognition and a growing fan base.

In addition to managing Juju, Young will work closely with Prime Time Africa and Kennis Music, one of Nigeria’s most influential labels, through an exclusive partnership established by J-Twiz Enta-10-ment.

Prime Time Africa and Kennis Music are known for their role in the careers of artists like Remedies, 2Baba, and Sound Sultan, and bring substantial resources and industry connections that are expected to amplify Juju’s presence in Nigeria and beyond.

Young expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “This partnership is about building a brand that will be easily recognizable in the industry and accessing a global platform for Juju, ensuring that his music reaches across borders.” He added that the established network and expertise of Kennis Music and Prime Time Africa provide invaluable support for Juju’s career growth.

Romanus “Juju” Chika shared Young’s optimism, noting the potential of the Nigerian music industry and the strategic value of partnerships in reaching a global audience. He highlighted that this agreement offers a pathway to expand Juju’s fanbase, connecting with Nigerian and African audiences who may not yet be familiar with his work.

With J-Twiz Enta-10-ment, Toks Asher Young, and a partnership with Kennis Music backing him, Juju is poised to make an impactful entry into both the Nigerian and international music scenes.
