It’ll Be The Turn Of Akoko If Am Elected As Next Governor in Ondo state, Says Jimoh Ibrahim

Jimoh Ibrahim, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) in the Saturday governorship election in Ondo State has promised to hand over the administration of the state to an Akoko Indigene after his government if elected the governor.

Mr. Ibrahim spoke on Sunday when his campaign train visited the palace of Olukare of Ikare Akoko, Oba Akadiri Momoh, to round off his campaign tour of the Northern Senatorial District of the state.

He disclosed that the regional rotation of government in the state should be hold sacred and casted aspersion on Governor Olusegun Mimiko whom he accused of causing crisis in the PDP.

“If you vote for us in the south especially now that am contesting as the PDP governorship candidate surely it would be your turn in Akoko after my government.

“But if you go ahead and vote for the other candidate of the opposition party it means you would have to wait till twenty fours years before this region (Akoko) could be planning to raise a candidate for the next governorship election”.

He explained that his government would developed the untapped richly resources deposited in the northern senatorial area of the state if elected as the next governor in the November election.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate promised to give the people of Akoko the main two slots of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Commissioner for Justice.

“When I become the next Governor of this state come Saturday I would give the people of Akoko the slot of the SSG and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo state.

“Come out en mass and tell your neighbors to vote for me as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) guber candidate in this Saturday election” he said.

Mr. Ibrahim also vowed to restored electricity to some communities which had been in total darkness since the inception of the present administration on board in the state.

He further reiterated his commitment to give five percent of the federal allocation coming into the state to the traditional rulers to upgrade their local communities by ensuring rapid development.

Mr. Ibrahim had also visited the palace of Owaale of Ikare, Oba Samuel Adedoyin, where he received royal blessings ahead of the Saturday governorship election in the state with promise not to disappoint the people of the state if elected.

The PDP governorship candidate also told a crowd of supporters at the palace that he remained unbeatable in the Saturday governorship election and pleaded with the people to vote en mass for him.

He explained that his government would established a down stream Petroleum Servicing Company (PSP) that would be known as Ondo State Oil Limited in the eighteen local government areas.

He added that One Hundred and Eighty (180) of such Oil company would be established within the period of his administration when he becomes the next governor of the state.

Mr. Ibrahim said the plan to establish the down stream oil is to bail the state out of financial mess that as affected in paying the regular salaries of the workforce.

“The financial needs of the government can also be met from the returns made on the sales of petroleum products from Ondo Oil Limited” he added.

The Daily Times correspondent reported that Mr. Ibrahim is expected to take his campaign to the central senatorial district of the state ahead of the Saturday election
