Importers’ Boss Canvasses Support for Buhari

Judging from the past antecedents of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Importers Association of Nigeria, Chief Gilbert Bravo Obi, has urged the president-elect to carry all Nigerians along in the discharge of his constitutional functions.
Obi, who spoke to reporters in Onitsha, said that Buhari’s victory was a triumph for democracy, stressing that he was expecting the newly elected leader to tackle corruption vigorously, when he eventually assumes office on May 29. He disclosed that the election of Gen. Buhari was not by accident, but a divine mandate to destroy corruption that was fast ravaging the entire fabrics of the country.
“I expect Buhari to carry all Nigerians along in the discharge of his duties as a leader. As a man who detests corruption in all its ramifications, the country’s president-elect should block all loop holes that encourage incompetence and corruption,” Obi said.
