Ihedioha laments poor facilities at Imo Govt House

Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo state on Friday assured the people of the state that his administration will hit the ground running despite the poor facilities at Government House, Owerri.

Ihedioha, who was fielding questions from newsmen after inspecting facilities at the Government House, Owerri, said that the place was not conducive to conduct the affairs of government.

“We have difficulties operating from here for now .We will look around if there are other facilities where we can take off. We will resume work immediately and we will not give excuses of not performing.”

“It is difficult to operate with the poor state of facilities in place, we shall deliver the democracy dividends to our people,” he added, lamenting that the out gone government was not ready to receive a new administration in the state.

According to him, the immediate past government of Chief Rochas Okorocha was not prepared to handover to his administration, declaring that irrespective of the state of poor facilities his government inherited “we will take issues head on.”

On the governor’s entourage include his deputy, Gerald Irona, Senator -elect representing Owerri zone, Expensive Onyewuchi and former Vice Chancellor FUTO, Prof. Jude Njoku among others.
