Husband, wife found dead, dumped at road side in Kaduna

It was a tragic incident at Sabo Bayan-Dutse in Kaduna State as 2 dead bodies were found at road side.

Residents of the community identified the bodies as a couple known as Mr and Mrs Azegbea, with the late Mr John Azegbea being one of the political gladiators in the community.

speaking with one of the residents, Mr Sule Dauda, He said “its is really a sad incident. Though we have been losing people in this community, none has ever happened in this manner.”

“We heard that the woman was kidnapped some days ago, and that the police were on top of the matter, but we never expected that it was going to turn out like this.

How are the families of this people going to take this kind of shocking news.” ” This is really bad,” Dauda said.

Son of the deceased, Peter Azegbea, who ascribed the death of his parents to local political rivalry, disclosed that the whole incident that lead to their death first started in September when his mother was abducted by gunmen.

He said “After her adoptions, demands were not made until after the 4th day she was kidnapped and the sum of 90Million naira was demanded as ransom for her release.”

“Instructions were given to the my dad not to get the police involved if he wants to see his wife alive again.”

“He decided to do it alone as instructed by the abducters, but that was the last time, he was heard from until we were asked to come and identify their lifeless bodies now”

“The police are still carrying out their investigation”, He added He also alleged that same political oppositions had in january sent gunmen to invaded their apartment, leading to him being abducted and the death of their gateman.

“I was in the bush for 8 days and N30million ransom was demanded and paid before i was release.”

Efforts to reach the police on the matter was unproductive.
