Group seeks probe of attack on Edo dep gov
Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, a group, N’ Edo Gheria, has called on the Inspector General of Police to bring to book those who master-minded the attack on the state Deputy- Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu, recently, in Auchi.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City, on Sunday, the group also cautioned politicians, particularly the aspirants, to advise their supporters, adding that “service to a people should not be seen as a do-or-die affair”.
The Co-ordinator of the group, Agene Patrick, said that if what happened Odubu was treated with kid gloves, more violent crimes could be looming in the dark.
