Group says any plan to disrupt May 29th inauguration will be met with resistance

A pro- Buhari group has warned any person or group planning to disrupt, scuttle or create chaos during the May 29th Inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term, that they will be met with stiff resistance and the perpetrators will rue the day
The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) gave this warning in its reaction to news reports of plans by some undemocratic elements to disturb proceedings on the day.
The group, in a statement signed by Niyi Akinsiju and Cassidy Madueke Chairman and Secretary respectively, stated that any plan to disrupt Nigeria’s democracy, fought for with the blood and sweat of patriotic Nigerians, would be resisted and dealt with decisively.
“It has come to our notice that some enemies of Nigeria who do not respect the outcome of the largely peaceful elections recently held, are desperate to thwart the will of the Nigerian people and scuttle the May 29th inauguration ceremony ushering President Buhari’s second term in office.
We are equally aware that the security agencies are putting in place measures to apprehend these enemies of Nigeria. We wish to inform these unpatriotic persons that Nigerians who overwhelmingly voted in President Buhari would resist any such foolish and tactless move.”
The group highlighted that: “President Muhammadu Buhari was duly elected President and earned his victory by a massive goodwill, from the deep trust Nigerians have in him, the appreciation of the various social projects that are lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty,
the degradation of Boko Haram and the consequent restoration of livelihood to the North-East, and the massive infrastructure being deployed across every corner of the country. These and more reflected in the 3.9 million-vote-lead given to President Buhari over his closest rival Atiku Abubakar.
“No matter where these undemocratic elements are planning and operating from, whether the U.A.E., or USA, UK, or Cameroon, the moon, wherever, they would be fished out and brought to justice.”
The group stated further that these sinister plans are similar to those planned by the PDP in what is now popularly known as the ‘Atiku Dubai Plan’, noting that like the Atiku Dubai Plan, these too would fail woefully.
“Nigerians know better than to put the same set of people who stole our resources and squandered Nigeria’s commonwealth with nothing to show for it, back into power.”
The group went further to warn countries who it said were jittery of Nigeria’s rising profile under President Buhari to stay away from Nigeria’s internal affairs.
