Group demands good representation in Edo South

A popular socio-political group, Benin Mandate Federation has described as unacceptable the crass under representation of the Edo South Senatorial District by past and incumbent Senators elected to represent the constituency.

National Chairman, Benin Mandate Federation, Frank Idahosa Omozuwa, traced the non- performance and under development of the district to the anti-intellectual political leaders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), who preferred a set a of the Benins, whose only concern is to promote the interest of their political leaders other than that of the constituency .

In a statement at the weekend, the group’s National Chairman said, the obvious position provides the APC a chance to put forward a grassroots oriented candidate that will receive the support of all Benins, including the traditional institution.
