Gov Akeredolu bags lifetime award

Governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has bagged the Honourary Life Member Award of the Family Relaxation and Sports Centre, Ibadan, also known as Ibadan Recreation Club (1902). Presenting the award to the governor, who was represented by his wife, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, at a programme in Ibadan over the weekend, the President of the Club, Otunba Adegboyega Fisher, who described governor Akeredolu as a humble and great pillar of support to the Club, said the award is in recognition of his contributions towards the growth, development and transformation of Ibadan Recreation Club (1902). He noted that by virtue of the honour, the awardee has unlimited access to the 117 years old Club throughout his lifetime and their contributions will remain germane for the betterment of the Club, while calling on members to be more committed to the activities of the Club in order to move the Club to greater height. He maintained that he and his team have impacted greatly on the Club, through the support of many members and friends. Other awardees are Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Major General Akinotun Muraina, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Dr. Afolabi, Prof. Dapo Afolabi, Mr. Sunkanmi Tebi, Dr. Femi Kalejaiye and other distinguished personalities. Also present at the occasion were the governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former governor of Osun state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the deputy governor of Oyo state, Chief Moses Adeyemi, amongst others.
