Giuliana Rancic has received lots of slam for her tiny frame, even when she’s been accused of having an eating disorder – until now.

The mother-of-one said that she is getting skinny because of the cancer she suffered in 2011.

In an interview with People, Giuliana admitted that the media attention had “gotten out of hand” about her body after awards season, when people commented on her weight and size on the red carpet.

Giuliana Rancic has kept quiet as people continue to slam her tiny frame, even when she’s been accused of having an eating disorder – until now.

The mother-of-one has revealed that her skinny frame is related to the cancer she suffered from in 2011, and confessed it’s “hard” to look at her reflection at times.

In an interview with People, Giuliana admitted that the media attention had “gotten out of hand” about her body after awards season, when people commented on her weight and size on the red carpet.

The star who had a double mastectomy in 2011 after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, said: “Some people were saying, ‘The cancer is probably back’.”

“And they were accusing me of every eating disorder,” she said.

“I thought to myself, ‘God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it.’”

According to UK Mirror, the 40-year-old, who has been taking cancer-suppressing drugs, is healthy and has been on the medication since 2012 and has been told by a doctor of the negative effects it can have.

“I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all,” she explained.

“I was concerned.”

The Fashion Police star, whose comments on the show about Zendaya Coleman led to Kelly Osbourne quitting the show, admits that the criticism over her body has been “really hurtful” and wished it went away.

“I’m sorry that some people think I’m disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there’s nothing I can do,” she said.

“I’m lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine.
