Foundation builds, equips 2 bedrooms bungalow for indigent family

A non-governmental organisation, Ugoeze Ngozi Emekobum Okpu-Isingwu Foundation, UNEOIF weekend handed over a two-bedroom bungalow it built and equipped for an indigent family in Umumgbokwo Isingwu in Umuahia North. Handing over the bungalow, Ugoeze Emekobum said the foundation was moved by the living conditions of the family of the beneficiaries, Mr. Chikaodi Nwabuisi, a barrow pusher and Mrs Chidinma Nwabuisi, a petty trader, adding that building the bungalow was in line with the aims and objectives of her foundation. The Okpu Isingwu Autonomous Community First Lady thanked her husband, and the traditional ruler of the community and her husband, HRH Eze Alozie Kingsley Nnadozie Emekobum for his support for the foundation, adding “I decided to use my foundation to do it with full support of my husband”. Noting the condition of the former shanty the family was living in, Ugoeze Emekobum advised the family to make good use of the house, while encouraging them to put more efforts in their means of livelihood to keep alive. Also speaking, the wife of the state governor, Nkechi Ikpeazu, who was represented by the state Commissioner for women affairs, Ugoeze Kate Onyemachi appreciated Ugoeze Ngozi Emekobum Okpu-Isingwu Foundation, UNEOIF and the founder, Ugoeze Ngozi Emekobum for the gesture and coming to the rescue of the indigent. According to Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu, the project was sin line with the aspirations of the administration of her husband, Okezie Ikpeazu, expressing her happiness that Ugoeze Emekobum has fulfilled her promise, adding also that many do not redeem their promises. Mrs. Ikpeazu also thanked Eze Emekobum for his support his wife and over the project, advising others to be of good encouragement to their wives. In his speech, HRH Eze Alozie Kingsley Nnadozie Emekobum, the Okpu 1 of Okpu Isingwu Autonomous Community appreciated his wife over the project and thanked God for her ability to complete the project.
