Floods ravage Asaba, residents rendered homeless

Freighting floods have continued to ravage Asaba and riverine
communities in Delta State, forcing affected residents to seek
alternative places of abode.

Areas worse hit include, Camp 74, Anwai Quarters, Infant Jesus,
Okpanam, Okwe, some part of Burutu, Patani, Bomadi, Jarret Street,
Anwai and Ugbolu community, DLA road and the popular PDP state
secretariat road in Asaba.

But the state government, through the commissioner for special duties,
Mr. Chika Ossai, in a swift reaction, charged people of the state especially
those living in the flood prone areas to be at alert in order to avert
any disaster.
