On their choice to support the candidates, Chairman of the creative industry group, Felix Duke Osagie disclosed that the PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Abubakar provided the best strategies and solutions to the numerous challenges facing the creative sector through the assessment of the policy documents published by some of the presidential aspirants for the 2019 elections. Speaking further, Felix noted that the PDP candidate has stated that his policy objectives will be to focus on demonstrating the potential of the Entertainment and creative industry in Nigeria including the promotion of Nollywood and Kannywood. On why the creative’s needs to support the PDP choice, veteran filmmaker and vice-chairman advisory committee, Zeb Ejiro noted that the past administration neglected the creative’s forgetting that the industry is equally part of the growing GDP of the country and as such with the coming of the PDP candidates at both the presidential level and governorship candidates in Lagos state, the creative’s will take its stands back in terms of legal and technical infrastructures that will create an enabling environment for the industry practitioners to thrive.
