FCTA demolishes houses of non-indigenes in Utako Village

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has demolished Utako Village.

According to the Director of Development Control, Muktar Galadima, the demolition is to ensure that the development of the area revert to Abuja Master Plan.

He reiterated the FCTA Administration’s commitment to curb the activities of land racketeering and land grabbing.

Our reporter who monitored the process, observed that only structures owned by original inhabitants (indigenes) were not demolished.

It could be recalled that the FCTA also demolished buildings in the area in 2011 for the same offence.
