End-of-year tragedy: Man, 35, commits suicide in Osun

Tragedy struck at Oke-itase area in Ile-Ife, Osun State on Tuesday when a 35-year-old man, Sunday Onifade, hanged himself to death.
It was gathered that the deceased, who resides in the area, is a barber by profession.
Eyewitnesses said the deceased hanged himself on an iron rod attached to the ceiling fan in his living room.
The reason for his action was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.
When our correspondent visited the area where the deceased hanged himself, no one was willing to speak on the cause of his action.
After the incident, the younger brother of the deceased, Omotayo Onifade, reported the incident to the ‘A’ Division Police Headquarters in Ile-Ife.
When contacted, he lamented the death of his elder brother, saying family members were shocked when they saw Sunday’s lifeless body.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident.
The police chief said investigation has commenced on the matter.
