Crisis rocks Enugu APC

The crisis rocking All Progressive Congress (APC), Enugu Chapter has deepened as the party has called for the suspension of its Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Kate Ofor, over what it called issuing of frivolous press statements.

The State Chairman of the party Dr. Ben Nwoye said a three-man committee had been set up to investigate her misconduct.

Nwoye said Ofor was issuing statements on her own as she never consulted nor got approval of the state executive committee (Exco), before going to the media.

Nwoye described the purported press releases as embarrassing to both the state and national leadership of APC.

It wondered why Ofor should always be in the comfort of her bedroom to issue sensitive statements that had no approval or authorisation of the party leadership simply because of her selfish interest and that of those whose scripts she was acting out.
