Coscharis Motors boss, Dr. Cosmas Maduka’s one hour with SLASON   

For you to engage Dr. Cosmas Maduka, the chairman of Coscharis Group of Companies and sole distributor for BMW in Nigeria for an hour in an unproductive environment will be tantamount to losing a million dollars in a Casino. Wherever you see him, it’s either there is a new business development about to or already happening or something that will be of immense benefit to his business is going on. One other way one can get him engaged for hours on end is if he is sharing ideas on how to become a success in life to youths.  That is how important time is to him. Penultimate Monday, the Society of Landscape Architecture Students of Nigeria (SLASON) succeeded in gathering not just tertiary students but also secondary school students and corporate bodies to enlighten them on environmental sustainability. Luckily, Dr. Cosmas agreed to be a guest speaker and in the over one hour he spent with the gathering, he was at his best. He gave reasons why we need to defend the existence of man and the relationship with his biotic and abiotic environment. He also expatiated on the reason why Nigerians must prepare for the worst when it comes to environmental sanitation, adding that it is a very important cause, a noble cause that affects our future. According to him, “Many of us think we can get away with cutting trees and not properly dispose of waste. Cans that are already discarded in European countries are brought here which has been causing pollution within the country and we’re all inhaling it through the atmosphere. We have seen uncontrollable rain situations. These young people have gathered themselves, seeing what is going on and crying out to say please help us save the environment and let’s make the society a better place for unborn generations.”
