Cleric rallies support for Buhari

The Priest in Charge of Our Mercy Queen of Martha Catholic Church, Sabo Lugbe Aco in the Federal Capital Territory, reverend farther Vincent Idanwojo, has commended President Muhammad Buhari for the several giant strides that has been recorded by his administration especially in the area of tackling insurgency and the fight against corruption in the country
The clergyman who made the disclosure in Abuja in an exclusive interview with some newsmen as part of activities marking the tenth anniversary of his ordination said the coming of President Buhari into office has saved Nigeria from a definite slide into decay. He called on Nigerians of all faith to continue to pray for the President and for those in authority so that they will continue to provide good leadership
He said ’’we need to pray for them as enjoined in the Bible .We can equally criticize them constructively for the good of the land’’
Idanwojo further called on President Buhari to try and ameliorate the sufferings of the masses to further enhance his credibility and goodwill amongst Nigerians. According to him, the President can tackle the current economic challenges headlong and make life easy for the common man by easing the pain on transportation, reduction of sky- rocketing market prices, and a review of dwindling wages
On the current face-off between the leadership of the National assembly and the executive, the cleric advised the warring parties to sheath their sword and allow the rule of law to prevail. He advised members of the National Assembly to shun what he called ‘’dirty politics’’, and should deliver quality services to the people.
