CHAN star Usman celebrates move to Portugal

Nigeria U-23 star Usman Mohammed has said he is delighted to join Portuguese club Uniao Madeira, saying it is a dream come true.

“It has always been my dream to dream to play in Europe and so I’m really delighted to now do so,” said the former FC Taraba skipper, who jetted out to Portugal on Wednesday night.

“Portugal is a footballing country and it will be a good step for my career.”

Usman, who featured at the CHAN in Rwanda, has previously tried to embark on a professional contract in Ukraine, but the move eventually fell through.

He will be at Uniao Madeira on loan till the end of the season.
