Business forum tasks Nigerians to grow small business, end recession

Plateau Coalition of Business and Professional Associations (PLACOBA), had tasked Nigerians to engage in small business as doing so will lead the country out of recession.
PLACOBA also pledge to create an enabling environment by enhancing its synergy with government to meet the challenges faced by small and medium businesses.
Speaking with newsmen in Jos, the chairman of PLACOBA in Plateau, Simon Tagni, also said PLACOBA would continue to partner with government with the aim to also bust tax generation as this is most possible when small businesses thrive.
The Chairman said, “as a group, we must commend citizens of Plateau for staying peacefully with each other; as the peace enjoyed has encouraged investors to scout for new opportunities in the state. “In the past, investors were scared of coming to Plateau, but now that peace has returned, business would start to pick.”
Mr. Tagni called on the media to also join hand with PLACOBA in creating the necessary awareness and understanding required to strengthen the capacity of businesses in the country. “Nigerians should see the recession as an opportunity to go into businesses, the media should support small businesses to grow,” he said.
