Bankers’ dinner: Emefiele, others set 2018 economy direction

All is set for the banking community, stakeholders in the financial sector and the general public to know the state of the Banking Industry and the Nigeria’s economy, as the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, will takes all stakeholders through economic refirms and development in the Industry.
The Apex bank Governor is expected to deliver a keynote Address on the the current banking reforms, and the state of the commercial banks at this year Annual Bankers Dinner.
In a document from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Address is expected to give perspectives on the focus of the regulatory authorities on banking and the Nigerian economy in 2018 and beyond.
The 2017 Annual Bankers Dinner, which holds Friday, November 10, 2017 at Harbour Point, 4 Wilmot Point Road, Off Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, at 6.00 p.m. prompt, is in line with the tradition of the Dinner where the CBN Governor is the Special Guest of Honour.
Also, the British Deputy High Commissioner, Ms. Laure Beaufils is expected to be the Guest of Honour and will present the Toast of the Federal Republic.
The CIBN, which is the organizer of the annual industy event, said that year dinner will attract top dignitaries from the banking and finance industries, the business community, members of the diplomatic corps and top government functionaries.
While, Prof. Segun Ajibola, President/Chairman of Council, CIBN, will be the Chairman while Mr. Seye Awojobi, FCIB, Registrar/CE will be the Chief Host of the event.
