At eighty-five, President Tinubu greets Chief Olusegun Osoba

Chief Olusegun Osoba, an aging statesman, veteran journalist, and former governor of Ogun State, is congratulated by President Bola Tinubu on his 85th birthday.

Chief Osoba led Ogun State as governor twice. During the failed Third Republic, from 1992 to 1993, and again from 1999 to 2003.

Through his unwavering professionalism, objectivity, courage, and balance, Chief Osoba—a reporter for Daily Times who went on to become Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief—set a remarkable standard of excellence in the field of journalism that has inspired media practitioners for many generations.
