Arsenal target Chukwueze joins Porto
Nigeria youngster Samuel Chukwueze will sign for Portuguese giants FC Porto “in the next few weeks”, a source in the player’s camp has revealed.
The dazzling Nigeria U-20 forward has been the subject of interests from several of Europe’s premier clubs, and was even at Arsenal with his mother recently only for the deal to collapse.
He was also linked with a move to French side Monaco, but he is now set to agree a deal with Porto.
“Discussions with Porto have gone on fine and we are close to sealing a deal and he should be signing in the next few weeks,” the source informed.
Chukwueze was one of the standout performers for Nigeria at the last U-17 World Cup, prompting clubs to queue up for his signature.
He was third leading scorer at the tournament in November in Chile
