Armed thugs attack serving reps member

A member of the House of Representatives under the All progressives congress (APC) Hon Muhammad Umar Jega was attacked by armed political thugs in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The member representing Jega, Gwandu and Alieru federal constituency was attacked during a rally he organised to thank his followers and tour the entire constituency to cement his relationship with the people.

According to him, his rally was approved by the security agencies in the area and was not in company of thugs.

He stated that while driving to a certain area in the town he spotted a barricade with thugs armed with dangerous weapons, who swooped on him and attacked his rally.
