APDA can’t find Nigerians with unblemished records to fill its BoT, says Chairman

One of the five newly registered political parties in the country, the
Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA), disclosed on Monday that it is finding it difficult to constitute its Board of Trustees, BoT, Committee because it has not been able to find men and women of impeccable characters that had served the country meritoriously with unblemished track records to occupy the exalted body.
The disclosure was made in a statement personally signed by the National Chairman of APDA, Mallam Shittu Kabir Mohammed in Abuja.
This is even as the party has dissolved its Media and Communication committee due to the inclusion of some practitioners who are in paid employs of some media houses in the said committee.
The APDA lamented that the said inclusion has resulted in conflict of interest, stressing that a new committee will be reconstituted shortly.
The party has however constituted two of the three statutory organs of the party which are the; NationalWorking Committee (NWC) and National Executive Committee (NEC).
According to Mohammed, “the Board of Trustees Committee is yet to be constituted until we find men and women of impeccable characters that had served our country meritoriously with unblemished track records to occupy the exalted body”.
The statement added, ” APDA will soon constitute the Board of Trustees (BOT), Council of Elders and other organs of the party in line with the provisions of its constitution guiding the selection of its membership and subsequent election of its Chairman and Secretary respectively”,it added.
The party has however resolved to allocate 30% of all elective and appointive party positions to Women, 25% of all elective and appointive party positions to Youth and 5% of all elective and appointive to persons with Special Needs
It expressed its commitment and determination to rebuild Nigeria into a modern state where peace, justice, social inclusion and above all national cohesion reign
