Anambra NDLEA arrests 156 drug traffickers

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has arrested 156 drug traffickers in various communities raided by the agency in Anambra State.
The NDLEA Commander in the State Mr. Sule Momodu, who said this at a press conference, on Thursday said that the offenders were apprehended between January and May, 2016.
He noted that those arrested included 146 males and 10 females.
He said that within the period under review, the agency seized drugs weighing 923kg and three ehicles, noting that 65 out of the 156 suspects arrested were charged to court.
The NDLEA boss commended Governor Willie Obiano for being of tremendous help which, according to him, had propelled the agency to accomplish a number of feats, but regretted that the lack of operational vehicles had continued to limit their achievements.
