AMBO star, Azizat Sadiq makes return to Nollywood

….stars in self-produced new movie ‘Chi’s Journey

Winner of the season one edition of the Amstel Malta Box Office Reality show (AMBO), Azizat Sadiq has returned to the movie industry bigger and better as she returns in new movie ‘Chi’s Journey’

The Wetin Dey actress in an exclusive chat with DailyTimes disclosed that the new movie is herself production which tells the story of a young girl sojourn to a foreign land in search of a better life and greener pastures, only to be exposed to modern day slavery, sexual molestation and abuse.

Chi’s Journey further tells the story of false hope, betrayal and resilience of the human spirit to strive and succeed against all odds.

According to Azizat who hopes that the short film will mark the beginning of her creative investment into Nollywood and beyond. Chi’s Journey was produced by her production outfit, Zee Media international, a film production outfit she established in 2005.

It is however important to note that Azizat Sadiq aside winning the grand prize of season one edition of AMBO but won others prizes among which was a contract to feature in the 15Million Naira award winning film, Sitanda, as well as a coaching session with famous actress, Joke Silva. She also featured in Mnet’s sitcom ‘Edge of Paradise’ and the BBC’s ‘Wetin Dey’ a series targeted at creating awareness for the deadly sexually transmitted disease HIV/ AIDs.
