Alleged murder: Again Court adjourns masquerade custodian, Esuleke, son, others bail application

An Osun High Court on Tuesday adjourned ruling in a bail application for a Chief Masquerade Custodian, Kayode Esuleke, and three others, for the alleged murder of a worshipper.

The three others are Esuleke’s son, Ifasola, Adeosun Kola and Idowu Abimbola

Justice Ayo Oyebiyi, adjourned ruling in the bail application until Thursday, to enable proper judicial processes and perfection for the bail of the defendants by the counsels involved.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN ) recalls that the court had on Sept. 14 remanded the defendants in a correctional centre for the alleged murder of Salahudeen Moshood.

NAN further reports that the defendants were arraigned on a 13-count charge bordering on the alleged murder, committed on June 26, at 2:00 p.m., along Oluode Aranmi area, Osogbo.

The offense include attempted murder, malicious damage; assault, occasioning harm and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

Earlier, Oyebiyi, said he had not written the ruling because the defence counsel forgot to argue the preliminary objection attached to the counter-affidavit filed by the prosecution.
