Al-Makura’s son to face manslaughter charge

Khali Al-Makura, son to the Nasarawa state governor, that had allegedly knocked down Amos Ovey, a JSS 2 student of Government Science School Lafia, may soon be charged to court on manslaughter.
The Nasarawa state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abubukar Sadiq Bello, informed the Daily Times in a telephone interview that Khali was still in police custody and would appear in court after the conclusion of investigation.
Meanwhile, the police boss has dismissed the rumor making the round that the suspect had been released, stressing that both the car and the suspect were still been held.
The Daily Times also gathered that as at the time of the accident, Khali was totally intoxicated as he was returning from a night club.
Al-makura’s son allegedly knocked down the student with his car last Sunday while he, Ovey, and his friends were on their way to buy batteries for their touch light that would enable them read their note books as their was no light in the school when he meet his death.
Checks reviewed that Khalid had killed one boy at Bukan Ari last year in Lafia metropolis but everything went silent.
Meanwhile the body of Late Ovey Amos has been buried by his family at the Mada Station Area of Agidi Development Area of the State last Monday afternoon.
