AGN SAGA!!! Emeka Ike is not President, says Steve Eboh

Since the court injunction that relieved past president, Ibinabo Fiberisima as the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), several mixed reaction has equally trailed Emeka Ike who poses as the new guild president.

This time coming from the newly appointed chairman Actors Guild’s caretaker committee, Mr. Steve Eboh, who insisted and stated categorically that Emeka Ike is not a card carrying member of the Guild. Eboh said he does not know reasons Emeka Ike poses around as the guild president.

“It is on this note that I state clearly that the AGN has no president,” he said

According to the actor, Emeka Ike has not been able to tell the body who voted him as the president of AGN, while Ibinabo Fiberisima is yet to say what legal mandate she has over AGN.

Eboh made this known in a recent interview. He said: “On the established Caretaker Committee, I don’t know why Ibinabo and Emeka Ike are afraid of the Caretaker Committee. The essence of the caretaker committee is to reconcile warring factions of the guild, stay in power for some time, conduct fresh elections and ensure that the guild moves forward again. And some people are not happy with the development. Some of them have lost their relevance in the guild. They want to remain in power, meaning that there is something they are not telling us.”

On Ibinabo and Emeka Ike as AGN president, Eboh said: “The court sacked Ibinabo, and Emeka Ike has never been the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Now, he’s laying claims to the presidency of the guild. Emeka Ike has not been able to tell us who voted him as the president of AGN. The same goes to Ibinabo, who is yet to tell us what legal mandate she has over AGN now.”
