Adamawa 2019: Bindow support group emerge towards his re-election
Following the build up to the 2019 election, the Adamawa State commissioner of Higher Education,Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Alkali has unveil a group in Yola named “Restoration Network” that is formed to help garner support for Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow for the 2019 gubernatorial race if he wishes to re-contest.
While unveiling the group, its chairman Alhaji Babangida Jibrilla Rufai who doubles as the founder stated that the association is a coming together of Bindow’s core loyalist who are foot soldiers of the present administration avowed to supporting the governor in the ongoing transformation in the state.
At the unveiling occasion notable stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC),were in attendance to ginger the association towards actualising its vision and mission of bringing Bindow back as the governor to continue the laudable work he is doing in the state.
Speaking on the essence of the new group, Jibrilla emphasised the fact that Bindow’s continuance is the only way that development can be sustained and consolidated.
”The association have a desire to give Adamawa State a truly progressive governor like Bindow upon which the aspirations of the people for fair and equitable development can be achieved in 2019 and to also consolidate on the achievements so far recorded by him.
“Bindow as an agent of social change has a single purpose and mission of ensuring that every Adamawa indigene no matter his creed, culture, learning and social grouping would have equal and unfettered access to all accruing dividends of citizenship,” he said.
The chairman of Restoration Network promised that the group will propagate the dividend of democracy being delivered by the governor.
He disclosed further that the new support group is a departure from the old order, the chairman also vowed to ensure the electorate in Adamawa State will be well informed about the transformation initiative of Governor Bindow.
He further explained that the political group that was unveiled on July 6, would address fundamental issues that would unite Adamawa State, adding that: “The political group I am unveiling today on behalf of all of us is ideologically rooted and seeks to address all the fundamental issues that will keep Adamawa united with every citizen having a sense of equality, justice, protection, belonging and fair play,” he added
