FCTA dreams world business summit

In order to eschew the over dependency of Federal Government allocations in financing day to day activities and for economic diversification, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), may have started nurturing the ambition of hosting business summit in the near future.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Mohammed Musa Bello made this known over last weekend when he received a delegation from the Nigeria – China Business Council in his office in Abuja.

The Minister told the visiting Nigeria – China Business Council delegation that they were welcome as the FCTA was ready to do business and receive advice from them.

“We will like to partner with your Council as well as receive advice from you. We need investment in the city to generate employment and taxes and other multiplier benefits when a robust business environment is created. Most importantly, later in the year, we hope to host an economic summit in the city so that we all can sit down as stakeholders.

“We need to look at the challenges of the city since its inception, existing policies, what we need to do to facilitate business and for you to guide us towards the economic development of the city, this way we can know what the city needs in 10 years’ time and plan ahead” Bello said.
