I ‘ve no issue with Gov Akeredolu – Senator Boroffice

Ajayi Boroffice, the Senator representing Ondo North at the upper chamber of the National Assembly has declared that he has no issue to drag with the Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Boroffice who stated this at Oka Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state added that there was cordial relationship between him and the Governor.
The Daily Times gathered that since the fallout of the controversial APC primary election that produced Mr. Akeredolu, he and Senator Boroffice had not been on same political page.
Boroffice came fourth in the primary election and protested against the result with Olusola Oke who recently traced his footsteps back to the party in the state.
Senator Boroffice support for the ousted State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isaacs Kekemeke, had also pitched him against Mr. Akeredolu.
Speaking further, the Asiwaju of Akokoland said he remains the elder brother for the governor and that both have cordial relationship regardless of the rumours.
He added that those in the polling centre where he voted in the last Governorship election can only confirm that he voted for Akeredolu as the candidate of APC.
According to him, the people around Mr. Akeredolu are responsible for all issues which might have been misinterpreted to mean a battle between him and the Governor.
He also said that he has no intention to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) saying that he was one of those who laboured hard to build the party in the heart of the people in ondo state.
“I won’t leave the party (APC) for anyone because I have been here since the year 2012, suffering and building the structure before for a long time.
“I am his (Rotimi Akeredolu) elder brother and I like him because I voted for him during the governorship election. We are not fighting.
“Even the people in my ward where I voted can testify to what am saying but the people around the Governor are the ones not advising him well.
“So, let me state that the infighting within the party is just a matter of expressing loudly and rubbing our minds together to bring the best out of the party” he added.
