Nigeria Football Fans kick against illegal migration

Nigeria Football Fans Congress has unveiled its new project in Lagos which is aimed at sensitizing youths on the dangers associated with illegal migration to Europe. The event will hold on December 8-9, 2017 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Lagos, President of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea said despite the fact that they intend to continuously harvest immense football followership in the supporters club,

the Nigeria Football Fans Congress intend to commence a strong campaign against the escalating deaths on the Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Desert caused by illegal crossing to Europe.

“We are deeply worried particularly on continuous and unabated sad news about how Africans especially our energetic youths are dying daily on the Mediterranean Sea due to illegal journeys. This frankly calls for concern.

“In order to put an end to this unfortunate avoidable loss of lives we are going to bring together humanitarian organizations to deliver lectures to the youths on dangers associated with these illegal but dangerous journeys. It is themed: ‘Red card to deaths on the Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Desert’,” he said.

According to Ikpea the seminar proper holds on December 8 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, while there will be a novelty match and musical concert on December 9 to run up the event.
