The Nigerian music industry has been really reaching out to the world as it produces mix and blends of good music by various artistes. Here are some of the artistes taking over by storm. One amazing reality and common feature between them is their age range.
TEKNO MILES
Augustine Miles Kelechi (born December 17, 1992 in Bauchi, Bauchi State, Nigeria), popularly known by his stage name, Tekno Miles or Tekno, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and creative producer. Tekno Miles was an artiste signed under K-Money Entertainment. His first single titled “Holiday” was released under the imprint. It featured vocals from Davido. “Holiday” was positively accepted and also gained massive airplays.
In 2013, he signed a music contract with Made Men Music Group under which he released singles like “Dance” and “Anything” which won him a nomination in the “Best New act of the Year” category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. On June 18, 2015, Tekno Miles released a song titled “Duro” which was positively received. With many more singles and features, the talented Tekno who is also a producer of songs including a few of his has already shown constant traits of quality music. He seems to be in for long run as video of his recent hit single “Pana” rocks the airwaves. The video was directed by Nigeria’s music video director, film maker and cinematographer, Clarence Peters. His recent singles includes Where, Pana.
LIL KESH
Lil Kesh’s professional music career started in 2012 but he became popular in 2014 after he recorded his first single titled “Lyrically” which was positively accepted majorly by students and youths in Nigeria. Through YBNL Nation, Lil Kesh released “Shoki“, a song which got him nominated in the Best Street-Hop Artiste category at The Headies 2014 while “Shoki Remix” which featured guest appearances from Olamide and Davido got nominated in the Hottest Single of the Year at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In April 2014, he signed his first music contract with YBNL Nation.
Sometime in February 2015, Lil Kesh released a song titled “Gbese” which was produced by Young Jonn. Lil Kesh announced via Instagram in April 2016 that he has established his own label imprint called Y.A.G.I Records with Olamide later confirming the news through the same medium following the expiration of Lil Kesh’s 2-year recording contract with YBNL Nation.
Lil Kesh’s versatility and style of music has become similar to that of Olamide who raps and sings in his local dialect. He however seems to have a lot in stock for fans with every single turning to hits. Although he has been criticized for using too much vulgar sentences and not finding the right balance in the lyrics of his songs. Latest songs in the album (Y.A.G.I) includes “Ishe”, “Cause Trouble”, “Ibile”, “Problem child” ,”Semilore”, “Kojo”.

Korede became one of Africa’s promising acts after his famous “Korede Bello wink” in the music video for “Dorobucci“, a chart-topping song by Mavin Records artistes. With recent tracks like “Romantic” and “One and only”, his talent and bid to become and stay relevant is pretty obvious, although he is yet to release an album.
