2019: Arewa women cautions Buhari

An association known as Arewa Women Arise (AWA) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to concentrate on delivering his campaign promises to Nigeria rather than seeking endorsement for 2019 election.

In a statement by its National Co-ordinator, Hajia Risikat Abdullahi, AWA noted that Buhari was already faltering and failing to deliver on the promises he made to Nigerians.

It noted that “the President is already backsliding on the promised N5, 000 to jobless Nigerians. There is also the embarrassing case of removing over 10 University Vice- Chancellors without consulting the Governing Councils of those institutions. “There is a protracted long fuel queue all over the country. Instead of focusing on these and other important issues, the President is busy seeking endorsement for 2019 that is still a clear three years away”.
